There’s a moment every first-time buyer has. The one where the excitement of “I’m buying a home” quietly turns into “wait — what did I just get myself into?”

I know that moment. Not because I read about it — because I’ve lived it.

I grew up in Japan, raised by a military father who moved our family every few years. New city, new school, new home — over and over again. I learned early that home isn’t just four walls. It’s safety. It’s belonging. It’s the exhale after a long journey.

Life took me through Virginia, then Florida, where I met my husband — a United States Navy sailor. And just like that, the military lifestyle I grew up in became my adult life too. We relocated to San Diego, got married here, and put down roots in a city that finally felt like ours.

So when a first-time buyer sits across from me — nervous, overwhelmed, wondering if they’re making the biggest mistake of their life — I don’t just understand them professionally. I understand them personally.

That’s why I do this work the way I do. I’m not here to rush you to a close. I’m here to walk with you — every step, every question, every moment of doubt — until the key is in your hand and you’re standing in a home that actually feels like you.
